KEMLOD LIMITED is an indigenous Building/Civil Engineering Contractor & Oil Services & Allied Procurement Company incorporated in Nigeria in October 2002. It offers fully integrated and qualitative services in its chosen field of specialization from inception to handing over to clients.

The staff comprises suitably qualified and experienced professionals drawn from all over the country and beyond. They have been tested and found very reliable and competent to handle project of various forms and shapes from inception to completion of such project.

KEMLOD LIMITED maintains a suitable office space, equipment yard and workshop. The office space is equipped with modern office equipment that enhances its managerial and operational competence.

Health, Safety & Environment Policy Statement (HSE)

KEMLOD LIMITED is a civil engineering company involved in building construction and its ancillary, which thereby exposes our staff to Health, Safety& Environmental (HSE) risks associated to the construction industry. The personal safety and health of each employee of our organization is of primary importance to us. It is therefore our aim to ensure the following:

 

• To identify all hazards, assess the risks deriving therefrom, and, consequently, institute control measures to eliminate, or minimize their impact on our personnel and others who may be affected by our activities;
• To monitor our occupational health and safety performance, audit the effectiveness of our management systems against health and safety objectives and targets, reporting on performance to our staffand clients;
• To comply with all national and legal legislation/standards relating to our operation;
• To safeguard the environment within which we provide services, and to the conservation of the environmental well-being of the population of that environment.
• To minimize of any adverse impacts to the environment resulting from the services that we offer;
• To communicate to all employees and subcontractors personnel this policy and their role in its fulfilment.

Community Affairs Policy

In order to promote mutually beneficial relationships with host communities, KEMLOD LIMITED shall:

• Establish a community development program to complement the efforts of government agencies and donors in the company’s areas of operations.
• Build substantial development partnerships by enlisting the full participation of hast communities in project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
• Establish ongoing communication with all social segments of host communities in order to address their concerns and aspirations.
• Ensure that the benefits of development assistance are equitably distributed among community social groups by lending special attention to the most economically disadvantaged.
• Respond to formal community requests in appropriate and timely manner.
• Continuously assess the social impact of all new core business activities and take needed preventive or mitigating measures.
• Require all KEMLOD LIMITED personnel and sub contractor staff to relate with communities in a respectful and responsible manner.
• Ensure that contracting organization adopt standards of work and behaviour that are wholly compatible with this policy.

Nigerian Content Policy

KEMLOD LIMITED as an indigenous company recognizes the aim of the Nigerian Content quantum for sustainable development of the Nigerian State. Thus, to ensure regular achievement of the Nigerian Content in our projects and services, KEMLOD LIMITED Nigerian Content Policy is anchored on the following:

• Continuous training and development of her Nigerian personnel in relevant areas locally through in-house training programs and sponsoring personnel overseas for in-depth technical training. This is to ensure that they are abreast of their profession and of a standard that compares favorably with any in the world at all times.
• For any project at any point in time within Nigeria, KEMLOD LIMITED shall employ more local staff who are qualified and capable of being responsible of their duties and shall improve their abilities through ongoing trainings. The company will maintain a minimum ratio of 85:15 (Nigerian: Expatriates) in her recruitment policy.
• Procurement and supply of all necessary materials and products for any project shall be sourced locally and shall resort to external sources only where such materials and products are not readily available in Nigeria or the client required such.
• KEMLOD LIMITED shall employ competent and qualified local subcontractors to provide technical and non-technical services and support when required. This would encourage small local contractors to develop and expand so they in turn, will benefit and the economy will grow.
• When an expatriate person or contractor is engaged by KEMLOD LIMITED as a result of non-availability of comparable or equivalent resources/expertise locally, such expatriate shall be required to train Nigerians who will be proficient enough to take over such jobs/services in the near future.
• KEMLOD LIMITED shall not enter into any contract or agreement that despise or tend to despise the Nigerian Government Local Content Policy.
